Beside testing new chargers and NiMh cells, I’ve worked preparing the new bodies I received last week.
The first task was to extract the 3D bodies shapes in a 2D format. It’s not always easy, especially with recent cars.
Apart from the beetle, I’ve the done XJR-14, the Civic-R, the Savanna and the Supra.
I was able to prime and paint the first beetle with the Mooneyes yellow.
I bought the paint few years ago, as I wanted to built the Hasegawa beetle kit. This yellow is very vibrant, almost fluo, with a light tone of green.
Then I’ve paint the black stripes as I thought it was easier than applying decals.
Next will be finalizing the decals size.
