When I have started this blog a year ago, I’ve intended to focus on decals for Mini-Z and the news from the Mini-Z world. Unfortunately, I’ve never really updated this blog because the past year has been extremely busy for professional and personal reasons. And one of them is because I’ve purchased a house. A house with a large basement that I’ll use to set up a Mini-Z track. I’ve been entering this house for about 5 weeks and already have set up a track.
I’m lucky, the basement is very large, over 100m2, it has a heating system, not as good as the living rooms but good enough for what I intent to do. And it will be cool during the summer as it’s fully underground.
The house was built 40 years ago but it is in very good condition. The original owner had started his business inside the basement, he was making stamps and stayed in it for 20 years before moving to a new building. After that, the basement was used as a storage room.
The basement was very humid (over 90%) when I got the house and it had a strong smell of moisture. So, I purchased a dehumidifier that has been running full time for over a month, washed the floor, and purchased an air purifier. Now, the humidity is maintained by around 55% and the bad smell is gone.
We moved in just before Christmas and I have set up a Kyosho track between the carton boxes.

Well, I can say that having a Mini-z Track that size, at home, is absolutely fantastic. I’ve no longer have to find a track to practice and setup the chassis I have. In few weeks, practicing every day I’ve made very progress with my poor driving style.
Ok, I have now to work on a few things to have the room ready like I want. What needs to be done:
- Redo the electric network
- Redo the lighting
- Bring the Wifi
- Paint the walls
- Install tables and storage
- Install monitors (already have one), a big clock and some wall decorations.
Beside, I’ll have a computer/gaming room, a dining room, as it was set originally, and I’ll setup a Mini-Z body painting and 3D printing space in the technical room, where the gas heating machine is located. This is the first room I’ve started to work on it.

Ok, so moving forward I’ll continue sharing my journey with Mini-z, including sharing some news I’m interested in. See you soon…
